Gay in the military
Can you be gay in the military today? Not according to “Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Don't Pursue, Don't Harass," which is also known as the US military’s ban on gays in the military. President Clinton signed this bill back when he was president. What right does he have as president to make this kind of decision? I say he has none.
While the armed forces have dismissed some gay and lesbian service members during the war in Iraq, an unknown number are serving their country without detection. I am proud to say that these gays in the military are proudly serving their country and not letting their sexuality stand in the way. |
